Our Czech colleagues have successfully installed a neutron beam cap for the BEER instrument at the European Spallation Source – research facility in Lund.
This cap is now ready for inspection and testing by ESS, specifically by the quality team. Subsequently, 3D scanning will be performed by the ESS metrology team to ensure that the cap is accurately fitted to its final position in the neutron-conduit assembly.
Final installation is planned for early 2025.
