Metis are delighted to have been awarded a place on the Magnox Decommissioning and Asbestos Removal (DAR) Framework covering the whole of the Magnox estate. Under this framework Metis looks forward to supporting and delivering for Magnox across its estate, providing both the technical capabilities and requirements to drive demonstrable progress on their sites, as well as the socio-economic benefits that can be achieved through the use of local SMEs and supply chain partners.
The team’s complimentary skills of nuclear decommissioning (NUVIA), access and asbestos strip works (RIS), and demolition (H&S) will enable the successful completion of a wide variety of projects across the Magnox portfolio.
Kian Woodward, NUVIA’s Managing Director of Projects, Engineering and Decommissioning said ‘NUVIA is pleased to be working as part of Metis. We very much look forward to supporting Magnox through the Decommissioning and Asbestos Removal (DAR) Framework, bringing together the Metis know-how and experience to help bring about further demonstrable progress in decommissioning across the Magnox estate. We are looking forward to getting stuck in!’
Dave Paget, Rainham Industrial Services’ Executive Director said ‘This is a significant award for both Rainham and Metis, and is the result of collaborative working, a shared vision and a lot of hard work brought together through our integrated bid teams. We look forward to delivering to Magnox on the challenges which lie ahead’
Martyn Burnett, Hughes & Salvidge’s Managing Director said ‘Hughes and Salvidge are proud to come together with Nuvia and Rainham Industrial Services to form Metis, combining our expertise and resources, and working together to support Magnox on their current and future decommissioning projects.
Securing a place on this framework is a significant milestone that highlights our collective strength and potential. This collaboration is a testament to the power of teamwork, and we are excited about the opportunities that lie ahead.’
